Meet David Norvelle

Growing up in Alaska, David began familiarizing himself with boats at the age of six. As a young man he started welding in shipyards in 1973. His passion for boats eventually led to repairing King Crab fleets, salvaging and repairing crabbers in and around Alaska. David moved to the Oregon Coast to become a commercial fisherman. After just one season he realized he’d rather build than fish. David opened Norvelle boats in 1992 starting with small aluminum boats and quickly found a niche in offshores. He has built a reputation for safe, well crafted, long lasting vessels. You can spot his boats from the coast of Maine to the cold waters of Alaska.

“I got into welding for the love of boats and I want to make peoples dreams a reality.” David enjoys creating customized boats and prides himself in listening and understanding his customers needs.
